Frequently asked questions
- How does a RouterSocks5 router assign a proxy?
- You enter the proxy details (IP, port, user/pass) into the router; it routes all traffic through that proxy then broadcasts over Wi-Fi + LAN. Every connected device automatically uses the proxy IP, with no per-device software.
- Which proxy protocols does it support?
- SOCKS5, HTTP/HTTPS, WireGuard and OpenVPN. It supports both TCP and UDP, plus WebRTC over the proxy.
- Does the router include a proxy?
- The router is the device that assigns a proxy; you need a proxy (buy/rent a clean 5G proxy from RouterSocks5) to load in. You can use our 5G proxy or your own.
- Can the router fake the MAC?
- Yes. It spoofs the entire MAC to codes from millions of major-vendor routers, syncs DNS/time zone to the IP and blocks LAN scans/tracert.
- How many devices can one router serve?
- Many devices at once over Wi-Fi + LAN, all sharing one clean IP. Take uplink from home LAN, a 4G USB dongle or an Android/iOS phone.
- What about warranty and updates?
- Each plan includes warranty and regular firmware updates; the system continuously updates its faking algorithms/features to keep up with new detection methods.
